AlbiM@IntrepidArchitecture.com

As founder and President of INTREPID Architecture. Prior to founding the firm, Albrecht served as Partner and Executive Vice President with MHAworks.  Under his direction, the MHAwork's Greenville Office grew from a two person operation into an integral part of the firm's overall portfolio.   During the last 20 years Albrecht has led over 100 Higher Education projects including NCSU's first freestanding LEED Gold building, ECU's 79,000 SF Health Science Campus Student Center, multiple high-rise residence hall renovations and a 500+ Building ADA Assessment for the NC DOT.

Early in his career, Albrecht worked in Switzerland and Germany; places he has family connections.  While abroad, his work included planning for a new music school for Germany's largest school for the blind, renovations to a 700 year old castle, and a free-range two story cow stall with safety features developed in the wake of the mad-cow scare.  His experience is diverse, but deeply rooted in his Pitt County upbringing.

Albrecht grew up on a small farm just outside of Ayden, in the Renston Rural Historic District. His parents renovated the Renston three-room school into a home. The environment provided a foundation for Albrecht's interest in design, construction, and a can-do hands-on approach to life. Albrecht graduated at the top of his class from Ayden Ayden-Grifton High School and subsequently graduated with honors from UNC Charlotte where he was a  E.K. Fretwell Scholar.

Albrecht and his family reside in Greenville, where he enjoys volunteering, fishing, kayaking, and as much travel as his schedule permits.

Danielle J. Hoff, AIA, NCARB

Vice President

Architect / Project Manager

DaniH@IntrepidArchitecture.com

As the daughter of a contractor and artist, Danielle grew up immersed in the building and design world. She worked beside her father from the time she could hold a hammer, and it was natural for her to choose architecture as her life passion and career as a way to combine her love for art with building and construction.

With over 13 years of experience in the design and construction industries, Danielle has extensive experience in markets including higher education, institutional, and community-centered projects. She is adept in leading the design direction and technical execution of many projects ranging from small upfits to large complex facilities. She is an expert at providing creative and efficient design solutions to complicated problems, collaborating and building consensus with clients, users, consultants, and contractors, building envelope evaluation and detailing, and utilizing BIM software to enhance the design and collaboration processes.

Danielle is a graduate of North Dakota State University, where she earned a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design. She currently lives in Greenville with her husband and their two children. She and her family enjoy Sunday dinners with family and friends, and running from one after school activity to another.

Rima Boyle

Interior Designer

RimaB@IntrepidArchitecture.com

Originally from Baghdad, Iraq, Rima’s design philosophy centers on creating environments that evoke emotion and belonging. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Material Engineering from the University of Technology in Baghdad in 2006 and later pursued her passion for design, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Buffalo State University in 2024.

She believes that design is more than aesthetics; it’s about how a space makes you feel. “It’s the feeling a space gives, that instant sense of peace, energy, or belonging. I have always believed that design quietly shapes the way we feel and think,” she says. Her work reflects this philosophy, blending thoughtful material choices with harmonious spatial design to create environments that inspire comfort and connection.

Outside of her professional life, Rima is happily married and a proud mother to her son, who enjoys painting, gardening, hiking or biking with her family, and tackling DIY projects that keep her busy in the garage.

Daniel Donofrio

Project Designer

DanielD@IntrepidArchitecture.com

Originally from Northern Virginia, Daniel discovered his passion for architecture through an unexpected source, LEGOs. What began as a fascination with building and creating evolved into a deeper appreciation for design and problem-solving. In high school, he took an introductory architecture class and fell in love with the process while designing a tiny house, realizing that architecture was the perfect blend of creativity, structure, and purpose.

Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia in May 2025. He views each project as a puzzle waiting to be solved, an opportunity to merge technical precision with artistic vision.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys watching and reviewing movies, creating custom sleeves for his growing film collection, cleaning and organizing, playing video games after a long day, and spending time with his family and boyfriend. A fan of science fiction and all things imaginative, Daniel brings creativity and curiosity to everything he does.

Alli loves interior design because it allows her to bring ideas and visions to life by shaping spaces that enhance how people live and feel. She believes great design blends creativity with purpose, balancing aesthetic beauty with environmental responsibility to create spaces that are both comforting and conscious of the built environment.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. Her love for the environment extends into her design philosophy, emphasizing sustainability and environmental protection. When she’s not exploring nature trails, she enjoys relaxing with her bunny, Murphy.
